The cost of a college education is challenging for many families. J&W offers a variety of financial aid options and support to help you throughout the process. There are different types of financial aid: scholarships, loans, grants & work study. Assistance may consist of one or any combination of these awards.
FAFSA To apply for financial aid, all students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) with the U.S. Department of Education. The quickest way to apply is online using FAFSA on the Web at www.fafsa.ed.gov (JWU school code: 003404). The information provided on the FAFSA not only determines your eligibility for federal aid, but also allows you to be considered for need-based institutional aid from Johnson & Wales. Keep in mind you need to re-file for financial aid yearly.
You'll never know what financial aid you are eligible to receive unless you complete the FAFSA process! Submit your completed FAFSA as soon after January 1 to be considered for an optimal award.
Financial Aid Eligibility In order to receive financial aid, students must meet eligibility requirements. All students must: • be a U.S. citizen or eligible non citizen enrolled or accepted for enrollment in a degree or certificate program of study at least half-time; • maintain satisfactory academic progress; • not be in default on a federal student loan; • not owe a refund on any federal financial aid grant; • have a high school diploma or GED; • have a valid Social Security number; • be registered with Selective Service (males, if required). |
